Success Stories
Max’s Pet Supplies is a locally owned pet store in Gardnerville, Nevada. Kori owns it. Like most store owners, she wears every hat, and marketing was the one that kept slipping.
“Before Marketing Pro, it was a struggle to make, caption, and post original content,” Kori says. “I was stuck in a loop of reposting pet memes and pictures to keep the store pages relevant. I was failing to post content that actually reflects the store and the products inside it.”
The Problem
Keeping a store’s social pages active is one thing. Making them about your store is another. Original content takes time: taking the photo, writing the caption, picking the day, posting it to each platform. When the owner is the one doing it, it’s the first thing that gets skipped.
Kori had tried to hire for the job. “I’d already struggled to find someone to take on the role,” she says. Then she saw Marketing Pro at SuperZoo, the pet industry trade show. “I jumped at it.”
How Marketing Pro Works for Max’s
The monthly routine is simple:
- Kori takes quick photos and videos around the store and sends them to her team.
- Elli, her Marketing Specialist, plans the month and keeps everything on track.
- Our production team writes the captions, schedules the posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Google, and builds the monthly email newsletter.
“Marketing Pro does all the heavy lifting for me now,” Kori says. “I just snap and send off pictures and quick videos to our team, and they do the rest.”
Content That Looks Like the Store
The difference shows up in the feed. September’s top posts weren’t memes. They were a dog named Teddy showing off at the store, Kori’s favorite cat toy, and a sneak peek at changes coming to the cat section. Real products, real customers, and a real owner.
That’s what gets people to stop scrolling. In September, 15 posts reached 586 people, and 131 of them liked, commented, or shared. For a small-town pet store, that’s a lot of neighbors paying attention.
“I have content that’s meaningful now,” Kori says. “NMR does the tedious stuff for me that I don’t have time for.”
One Post, 18,000 Views
In October, Max’s was voted Best Pet Supply in Carson Valley. Our team turned the news into a post titled “Voted Best Pet Supply in Carson Valley!”, a thank-you to the community that went up on October 11.
The post got 18,357 views, 274 reactions, 55 comments, and 2 shares. It brought in 9 clicks to the website and 13 new followers, and Facebook flagged it as getting more views than the store’s recent posts.

That’s what happens when a post is about something real. The community voted for the store, and the post gave them a place to celebrate it.
The page has been growing the same way. Kori says the store’s Facebook following has grown significantly since starting Marketing Pro, and all of it has been organic. No ads, just posts people want to follow.
The Results: September 2026
| September | |
|---|---|
| Facebook and Instagram posts | 15 |
| People reached by posts | 586 |
| Likes, comments, and shares | 131 |
| Google Business Profile views | 1,293 |
| Google posts published | 5 |
| Products online | 2,606 |
Shoppers found the store on Google. Max’s Google Business Profile was viewed 1,293 times in September. Many of those shoppers weren’t searching for Max’s by name. They searched for “pet store near me,” “pet store Gardnerville NV,” and “puppy,” and Max’s showed up. When they clicked, they saw 5 new Google posts about what’s happening in the store, not an empty listing.
The website stayed current too. Max’s has 2,606 products online, synced from the store’s point-of-sale system, with 67 new products added in September alone. The site also showed up 260 times in “near me” searches, including people looking for a dog wash.
Less Than an Employee, With the Brand Intact
For Kori, the math was simple.
“As a business owner, time is already spread thin,” she says. “Marketing Pro takes this task off my plate for less than what I was willing to pay an in-house employee to do, all while understanding my brand and the personality of my store.”
