Online reviews; they can increase sales, they can boost your search engine rankings, they can increase website traffic to your site and more. And since 92 percent of all global searches are taking place on Google, Google reviews specifically can be a deciding factor about whether or not a customer is choosing to shop at your store.
So let’s chat about an easy way to encourage reviews so that your reviews can showcase your business in the positive light that it deserves. Head on over to your GBP and click the “Ask For Reviews” button. Google will generate a unique link for you to make it super easy for your customers to click on and leave you an awesome review.
You can include this link anywhere you interact or connect with your customers already. Think email signatures, receipts with a QR code, a business card, an invoice, and even on social media. Online reviews are an unavoidable part of doing business in today’s world. Not only do consumers trust reviews like they trust product recommendations from loved ones, they’re now even looking for more. BrightLocal’s research found that 60 percent of consumers are now also looking at the number of reviews a business has before deciding whether or not to shop at their store or use their services. So taking a proactive approach is absolutely essential, and you want to make sure you’re making it as easy as possible for customers who had an awesome experience with you to share that review online. And Google’s just making that a little bit easier by providing this unique URL for you to utilize.
