Hello everyone thank you so much for joining me today. My name is Francesca and I’m from New Media Retailer. Today we’re going to talk about five quick and easy ways to market your website.

The first, which is a super simple one, is ask your friends and family to share your new website on their social media platforms. People buy from people they trust, so if you ask your friends and family to share your new website with people that they know and trust it’s a great way to organically and naturally get your new website out there.

The second is to reach out to customers online. Plan to spend a few minutes on social media every day. Now some opportunities are going to come really naturally, if someone is asking you a question or maybe talking about a problem that they have on social media and your business can help solve that problem, jump into the comments and let them know to give you a call.

There will be other days that you’ll have to seek out those opportunities a little more. If you’re a pet store and you’re scrolling on social media you see some friends or maybe an acquaintance posting a photo of their dog, post a comment and say “Such a cute dog, we’d love for you to come and see us at…” and tag your business page.

If you’re a lumber yard or maybe a hardware store and you see someone who’s recently posted a project, drop a comment “Hey looks great, next time we’d love if you gave us an opportunity to help you finish your new project.” Really not a huge time investment, but a really big payoff opportunity.

Number three, sell in person. Take advantage of local opportunities if there is a job fair or maybe locally, we do like Saturdays in the park, maybe your community has something similar, or a craft fair if that makes sense for you. Set up a booth, have a few products and bring some marketing materials along with you. Let local customers know what they can find on your website. Maybe you offer buy online, pickup in store. Maybe you offer local delivery, or something unique about your website.

Number four, include your website on all of your marketing materials. Any place you’d put your business logo, put your website. That may include your email signature, your business cards, invoices, faxes maybe if you still do those. Any place you put your logo, put your website, at least URL.

Now if it makes sense to, take that one step further and also say buy online, pick up in store here, and then put your website URL. That’s a great place to do that too.

And lastly, depending on your budget, consider trying Google Ads or Google Local Inventory Ads. Google Ads and Google Local Inventory Ads is a great way to let your local customers know exactly what products you have in your store the moment they get on Google. Bonus, you do not have to sell online to take advantage of these features.

That’s it, five quick tips for today. Thank you so much for joining me and be sure to check back soon.
