Google Introduces FAQs

Hello, my name is Francesca. Thanks so much for joining me for another quick marketing tip. Today I’m here to talk about a new feature from Google, Frequently Asked Questions.
Google has added a new feature to help businesses automate some of the responses to the questions that they’re getting through Google Maps and Google Business Profile listings. Now, why is this important? Messaging through Google Search and Google Maps is a great feature for customers, but the reality is a lot of businesses don’t have the time or resources to respond to customers in a timely manner; and as we all know working in customer service responding to customers is crucial. Frequently Asked Questions can help these businesses respond to customers in a much more timely fashion, improving customer satisfaction as well as business resources.
So here’s how you do it; to access Frequently Asked Questions simply do a Google search for your business name while logged into an account that has access to your Google Business Profile. From there click customers and then click messages and then click these three dots in the upper right hand corner and messaging settings, and you can manage Frequently Asked Questions. Here you can add a question. Now, if you’re a pet store, a question like am I allowed to bring dogs into your store, or do you offer grooming services would be great questions to start with. For this example, the business gets asked quite often are you open for dine-in? I can add my automated response. Once your answer is all set, you can go ahead and hit save. From there, you have the option to add additional questions. I think maybe three to four would be a really good goal to get started.
