Hello, my name is Francesca. Thanks so much for joining me for another quick marketing tip. So why is it so important to upload in-store photos to your Google Business Profile and continue to upload them on an ongoing basis? Because Google’s using AI technology to scan and interpret each photo, and has the ability to pull keywords from them.
That’s right. So not only is it super important to add keywords into any text section of your GBP listing, it’s also incredibly important to make sure you’re uploading in-store photos of any aisles displays end caps. Make sure you have photos of every single department because Google will scan them, interpret them, and pull keywords from them which is obviously an awesome ranking factor.
But here’s a quick photo tip. Obviously it’s so incredibly valuable to have a photographer come in and get some awesome photos of your business, and maybe even some drone footage for your website, but when we’re talking photos for your GBP, or talking photos for social media, you have an incredible tool right in your pocket and that tool is your phone. But here is one quick tip that I see businesses and friends and family make all the time. Before you take a photo, just use your sleeve, use your shirt, use whatever you have available and just wipe the lens. Your phone sits in your pocket, your bag, you drop it, it gets dirty easily. By taking just two seconds and wiping the lens you will see such a difference in your photos. So take that two second step, just wipe your lens off and your phone will be such a great tool for your business. You don’t need to get too fancy when we’re talking photos for your GBP. Your phone takes great photos.
