Hi everyone. Welcome back to our channel. Today we have something special for you. We’re revealing 29 secret factors that play a crucial role in how people choose one local business to shop with over another. Stick with us till the end because we’re counting down to the most influential factor and you won’t want to miss it. Let’s get started. And number 29, we have keywords in native Google reviews. Yes, what people are actually saying in their reviews makes a difference. It helps potential customers get a sense of what to expect from your business. Coming in at number 28, high numerical ratings by authority reviewers like Yelp Elite or Google Local Guide, when you have reviews from them, it really boosts your reputation. These reviewers are trusted by people and their ratings carry a lot of weight. Number 27, a sustained influx of reviews over time. It’s not just about getting lots of reviews quickly.

People want to see that you’re consistently delivering great service over a period of time, right over the lifetime of the business. Moving on to number 26, we have a comprehensive Google question and answer section with owner seated FAQs is key. This section is often where potential customers look to get their questions answered quickly, and too many businesses don’t even have a question and answer section on their Google Business profile. Number 25 is geographic keyword relevance. In simple terms, this means your website should reference your location and what you offer. That helps Google and customers know you offer what they want in the area, they want that service. 24th is an important one. Your website should use H T T P S by default. That’s the secure certificate. It shows that your site is secure and that you care about your customers safety. That matters to customers and to Google.

23rd is a high numerical third party rating. So just like Google Ratings, having high ratings on other review platforms also impacts the decision of potential customers at 22. It’s the presence of website mentions in your local search results. So you’ll notice that people, when you search for something, you can sometimes see their website mentions X, Y, Z, right? Whatever that product or service is. This means that when your business comes up in search results, it’s beneficial to have a summary that mentions your website. 21st on our list is the Google Business Profile messaging feature. When it is enabled, it allows more direct communication between you and your customers. It allows you to close the deal. 20th is the quantity of positive reviews, right? This refers to the positive traits or characteristics that are often highlighted in your Google reviews. Coming in at number 19 is the presence of an appointment, URL.

This allows customers to conveniently book appointments, increasing the likelihood they’ll choose your business over another one that doesn’t offer that convenience. 18th, we have the presence of provides in the local search results. So this shows potential customers at a glance what services or products you offer at 17, the physical address in the city and state of the search results. Customers want to see that you’re local and that you’re close by. You don’t have to make them guess about where you actually are or what areas you service. 60th is the presence of reviews. So when positive reviews are visible in the search results, so that means your local search results show your reviews, and you do that by having your reviews online and encouraging consistent reviews. They work as powerful testimonials for your business, and they show up right there in the search results coming in.

Number 15, we have load time. If your Google Business profile loads quickly, customers are more likely to stay and browse. 14th is the primary G B P category. So whatever category you set is your primary category. It tells customers what type of business you are at a glance in the 13th place, we have low time of the pages across your entire website. A fast overall website, low time can significantly affect customer decisions. And coming in at number 12 is the proximity of your address to where the customer searching customers often prefer businesses that are close to their location. So proximity can definitely influence their choice. Number 11 is the recency of your reviews. Customers like to know what recent experience people have had with your businesses. If you haven’t had a review in months, it’s probably going to hurt whether or not they feel comfortable or confident in seeing recent great experiences customers have had.

And breaking into the top 10, we have the presence of owner responses to reviews. This shows that you care about your customer’s experiences and their feedback. And number nine, we have quality and relevance of photos. So clear, high quality photos that represent your business can have a great impact on the decision-making process. The eighth spot goes to proper hours. So if customers can rely on the hours that you post on your Google business profile, they’re more likely to come in. The hours are wrong or they’re inconsistent. It presents a problem. And number seven GBP booking feature. So making it easy for customers to book on your Google Business Profile can be a game changer. And that’s the booking feature right through business profile in the six spot completeness of your profile, a fully filled out profile gives potential customers all the information they need to choose your business.

And at number five, dedicated pages for each service. This can make it easier for customers to find exactly what they’re looking for. The fourth most important factor is the quantity of native Google reviews. The more reviews you have, the more trustworthy your business appears. And now the top three third is having a mobile-friendly or responsive website. Today, more people than ever search on mobile devices. So a mobile-friendly website is an absolute must.
