In Store Support
Receipts are a great opportunity to promote your website in the store. You can do more than just add the domain at the bottom of the receipt, though!
Make sure your receipts have a clear call to action. They will likely be ignored, forgotten, or thrown away unless the customer sees an immediate reason to keep it around. Tell customers that they could save on their next purchase by keeping up with your website and Facebook. If you are offering incentives to like your Facebook page or join an email list, integrate these things into the receipts message.
There are a lot of services that offer preprinted custom receipt rolls. This can be a good idea because the back of the receipt provides a lot more space to print information that won’t blend in with the transaction details on the front. You can even add a splash of color or a logo to make it more eye-catching. And it’s a great place for a QR code!
But remember: your receipts aren’t just a reminder to customers, they also help remind your employees about the great resource that is your website. The cash register is a great place for small talk; employees should engage with customers and remind them about the website’s promotions and helpful information. A receipt, which is already a natural part of this interaction, can be the object that really drives the idea home.
