Hello, my name is Francesca. Thanks so much for joining me for another quick marketing Tip.
Your Google Business Profile, or GBP is the first impression you make to your potential customers in your local market. Content from your GBP is displayed on the knowledge panel when searching from desktop, or the top of mobile results. It also appears on the map pack, and or as a result in the local finder page. It’s also displayed whenever someone searches for your business in Google Maps.
One area of GBP that’s often overlooked by businesses but shouldn’t be is photos. Upload high quality photos to your Google Business Profile page. Now Google will show photos both that you’ve uploaded, and that your customers have uploaded. If you want your photos to show first, it has been proven that if you upload high quality professional images, meaning high resolution images, you have a better chance of accomplishing this.
When it comes to photos, don’t just have a set it and forget it mentality. Continue to upload high quality photos to your Google Business Profile page. Several studies have shown that businesses with photos on their GBP pages get more clicks to their website, calls to their business, and directions clicked; Need I say more.
Here’s how you can add photos to your GBP listing. Upload photos to your Google Business Profile page, head to google.com/business and sign in to be brought to your dashboard. Once you’re there you’ll see this left-hand navigation. Go ahead and click photos on the left side. Now you may already have photos here, you may not, either way go ahead and click this blue add circle in the upper right hand corner. I do have a few photos on my desktop that I’m going to drag over. Give those a second to upload and you’ll now see the four photos that I just uploaded. That’s it!
Thanks so much for joining me today and be sure to check back soon.
